The Recipe for Natural Stretch Mark Cream

The greatest part of using the natural stretch mark cream is that it is safe for use during the periods of pregnancy and even after. It can also be used during weight gain or when you are experiencing weight loss to prevent stretch marks from forming. In fact this stretch mark cream has been known to reduce the visibility of other scars or marks on the body. However, you should know that there is no stretch mark cream that is capable of getting rid of stretch marks completely. But there is nothing wrong with making them less obvious. The active ingredient in this stretch mark cream would soften the skin and also enhance the elasticity. If you follow this recipe properly, you should end up with nearly 3 ounces of natural stretch mark cream.

You simply need...

• ¼ cup cocoa butter

• 1 tbsp wheat germ oil

• 1 tsp vitamin E oil or 2 vitamin E capsules, pierced

• 2 tsp beeswax beads or grated beeswax

• double boiler

• 1 tsp sesame seed oil

• 1 tsp apricot kernel oil

The instructions on the application...

1. The first thing you need to do is to mix the cocoa butter, wheat germ oil, sesame seed oil, apricot kernel oil, vitamin E oil in addition to the beeswax in the top of a double boiler.

2. Boil the water in the bottom of the double boiler, while stirring the mixed ingredients on the top, at least until the cocoa butter and beeswax are totally melted. This should take between 5 and 8 minutes, you can then take the pan away from the heat.

3. Add the essential oil If you would like to have an essential oil in the mix. Make sure that the ingredients are well mixed, and then pour the natural stretch mark cream into a jar that has a tight fitting lid. However, leave the jar open until the natural stretch mark cream gas cooled off, this would not take more than 30 minutes.

Tips & Warnings

In the absence of a double boiler, you can mix the ingredients in a glass pan then place the glass pan in a bigger pan or pot filled with boiling water.

Any essential oil would do, but to achieve the best results it is advisable to use lavender, tea tree or neroli.

You should store the stretch mark cream in a cool dry place for at least 30 days before you throw away any unused leftover.
